Trusted by more than 83,000 clients since 1992
NCR-registered credit provider 1008

Need funds without selling your jewellery?

A collateral loan lets you use your jewellery, gold coins, Krugerrands or other valuables as security for a loan. Your items are held safely in a vault for the duration of the loan. When you settle it, you get them back.

It’s a discreet alternative to selling something you’d rather keep, and the value comes from a team of jewellery professionals who have been assessing precious items for over 34 years.

How it works

1. Bring your items to a branch
Visit us in Cape Town, Sandton or Durban. Our jewellery professionals will examine and assess your items while you wait.

2. Get your loan offer
We’ll tell you how much you can borrow, the interest and fees, and the loan term, before you commit to anything.

3. Sign your pledge agreement
If you accept, you’ll sign a Pledge Document setting out the loan amount, interest, fees, repayment terms and end date.

4. Your items go into secure storage
Your jewellery is sealed in a Gold & Finance security bag in front of you and given a unique ID number. It’s then stored in a secure off-site vault. No pledged items are kept at our branches.

5. Settle your loan and collect your items
Once your loan is settled, your items are released to you. Because they’re stored off-site, please give us 24 hours notice to retrieve them. Bring your ID and original Pledge Document.

What can I borrow against?

  • Gold, platinum and silver jewellery
  • Diamond jewellery and diamonds set in jewellery
  • Designer, antique, traditional and handcrafted jewellery
  • Gold coins, Krugerrands and Mandela gold medallions

  • Other qualifying precious items

Every item is assessed on its value, type and condition before we make an offer.

How much can I borrow?

Your loan amount depends on the value, type and condition of your items.
