Behind that experience is a story that began more than 30 years ago, when Sindy joined Gold & Finance as a receptionist.

From receptionist to owner, with more than 30 years of hands-on jewellery experience.

I joined Gold & Finance in 1994 as a receptionist, knowing very little about jewellery but loving the interaction I had with our clients.

Every day, people brought in rings, diamonds, watches, antique jewellery and treasured family pieces. I became fascinated by what made each piece different, including its age, craftsmanship, gemstones, hallmarks, maker and history, and how those details could influence its true value.

That curiosity quickly became a passion.

I began spending my spare time visiting antique shops, studying old and unusual jewellery and learning everything I could. I went on to complete jewellery, diamond and gemstone training, including studies through GIA, while building something that can only come with time: decades of practical, hands-on experience examining and buying jewellery.

Over the years, I progressed from reception to becoming a specialist jewellery appraiser and buyer In 2007 I become the owner of Gold & Finance.

Today, more than 30 years after I first walked through the door, I remain actively involved in the business, working with our clients and using my experience to train and develop our team.
